Hello all
I've seem to have brought 2001 18 inch Monaro rims, same style used by HSV in the VT series. I'm unsure on wheel nuts though. Are they have length open ended ones? Or they the full bulge wheel nut shape? |

They are CV8 rims not Monaro rims as CV6 were 17”.
I have a dozen or so of those rims in my shed, the originals off my old car plus a few more sets as I fitted SII/III wheels to the car. I think they were all just steel nuts with plastic caps over them. I had a set of CV8 rims on the Cross8 for a while too, I probably still have the nuts somewhere as I put it’s originals back on when I sold it. |

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Dr Terry Yes it is, just qualifying that they are CV8 wheels, not Monaro as there were two Monaro models in V2 with different wheels as standard plus the three optional 17” HBD H, I and X series wheels for CV6. Same deal when I see HK Monaro guards for example, there are two types of Monaro guards in HK. |

Pretty sure those nuts are plastic caps over straight deep black coated steel nuts with hollow centres (see through to wheel studs). |

Those that Smitty put up might be copies though, as the originals don’t have the hex nuts next to the spokes. Originals have made in Japan on them, by maybe Enkei? They were a goldy colour on the HSV GTS that had them, and Holden used them on the V2 as I think they were the only 18” wheel in Holden’s grasp at the time. |

I am using black 'stud through' steel wheel nuts (scrutineers don't have to worry about how far nuts are on wheel studs) with those wheels |

You can see them clearly on this Redbook image: https://www.redbook.com....v2-auto/SPOT-ITM-233062/Here is some HSV ones, but actually have ROH and HSV on them: https://www.ebay.com.au/...amp;mkevt=1&mkcid=28I just looked at one in my shed I can get to easily and it is the same, but its not one of the originals off my V2. I'll try and get to them on the weekend and see if they are the same. I had it in my head that they said Japan on them, but that may have been the SII/SIII type wheels I have which are actually Pontiac GTO wheels (same rim as SII/SIII but gloss rather than matte silver), came new with Pontiac centre caps. |

HK1837. I’m interested to know what you meant by 2 different HK Monaro guards. Are you meaning Std and GTS. Base Monaro or GTS.You are not meaning the Round or Square drain holes are you. Yes HT had one or the other. Late or early or are you talking about something entirely different. aKabud
