We are having a little trouble trying to work out some of the codes and what they are for. We bought This premier from the original owner (never been unregistered in its life - all original with original number plates), and it has a bench seat which was an option when original owner ordered it - here are some codes we have :
HR235-30471S Trim - 892-F06 Paint - 587-8692 Top - 585-956 (possibly 585-966)
Does anyone have any idea what these mean - just want to confirm what we've discovered, but no luck with the Trim number - can't find it anywhere in the Holden colour codes....
Any help would be awesome !
Thanks, Phil

It is a Pagewood (Sydney) HR Premier sedan body, the small tag with the PSN on it will tell you if it was assembled there. The chassis number in teh middle of the firewall should end in SS is it is Pagewood assembly too.
587-8692 is Sea Mist Jade Metallic. 585-9562 is Grecian White, I think you are missing a number.
892 will be the combination of Grecian White over Sea Mist Jade Metallic.
Not sure what the trim of F06 is? Might be different due to the bench seat RPO (option code 641). |

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

Thanks so much for that info Dr Terry - been hunting this info for a while. Will post a picture soon (when we work out how to do it lol)!
There is also on the passenger front flyer wall a small tag with the letters - S99671 - would you know what this means ?
Cheers, Phil

That is the PSN, it means the HR was assembled at Pagewood as well as being a Pagewood body. The S is Sydney. The number is a sequential number for vehicles assembled at Pagewood from I think the start of HR (might be HD - can't remember). It includes Holden vehicles plus whatever GMH was assembling at Pagewood at the time, which will include Chevrolet, Pontiac, Bedford, Vauxhall etc. It was replaced by the VIN system from the start of HK, where the PSN is the end of the VIN (skinny tag), it started at H500000 for Pagewood for the first HK assembled there on or just before 24th November 1967. |
