Hey guys, The tin pan under pollution v8 inlet manifold, looking for its correct name, & are they hard to find? I have a manifold I'm planning on fitting which does not have it.
Also best way to secure them, originally there was small hammer-in-rivets, which I don't have, will self tappers work & not split the alloy?
Cheers & thank you

Oil Splash Guard, part number 9933295. Just find a rotted out HX or HZ or VB 4.2 intake for one.
They were held in with a screw p/n 192281 but to me they looked like knock in rivets. Maybe the screw was the replacement?
If you aren't running the original valve in the driver side exhaust I'm not sure you really need it though as not as much exhaust will cross over the intake. |

Yes, I presumed it wouldn't matter that much, not having the splash guard, but my engine man that is giving the heads a birthday, suggested I should have one if possible. Yes, I should be able to dig one up off an old 253
