hi guys, im hoping the gurus on here could help me out. im trying to find out when my car was built. its a Dandenong car and I've found a car that's approximately 700 cars after it down the line and they have been told their car was a late march built car.
the numbers are id plate - HK8....-18336M, vin 8****KJ122771 and body no. HK18503M

What is it? The model codes are all *'s. It is as far as I can tell pre July 1968 which means it almost certainly has to be a sedan, wagon, ute or van.

700 cars if they are built in order (which they often aren't) is only about 3-5 days production when Dandenong was at full capacity.

Pretty early Dandenong Monaro. Probably pre GTS. From memory that puts it in the last few weeks of June ‘68 but I do not have a lot of Dandenong cars recorded. Not near any of my records but I think the only Monaro or GTS built prior to late June were Elizabeth and/or Woodville build. I cannot estimate any better. Someone else might have better info or wait for 2-3 weeks
