Hi I just finished doing an oil and filter change on my 350 chev and I was sitting letting it idle to see if the noisy lifters settled down with the new oil 10w-40 Once it kind of got up to temp the top radiator hose blew off spitting water everywhere of course. I took the thermostat out to uave a look and it looks rusty and dry Could this be the issue? Any help is appreciated. I have images but not sure how to add them sorry Steve

The radiator cap maybe faulty. It should have released any excess pressure at 13-15 psi.
