HI guys, just what is the difference from a HZ V8 front end to a 6cyl front end other than the springs. Im doing up a ute and wrecking a 6cyl ute for someparts i need. On the 6cyl ute all the control arms are painted new bushes, same with the back end. Painted leaf springs and shakles and rebushed. but its still the banjo. i want to move everything over to my ute as mine is a factory V8. 4sp 10bolt. thanks for you time.... David

AFAIK if they're both the same model year (ie. rts/non rts), also the sway bar.

All the same except possibly front coils, but you're better off with STD height aftermarket coils anyway as they're heaps easier to fit than originals. Check the steering arm lengths whilst doing the swap as plenty of stuff gets swapped around over 25 yea |

All the same part from the springs. When you do the work keep any old shimms as I found the other day that my local wheel aligning bloke will only do the job if you pre book as he orders the shimms in for the job ( guess you cant get the multi packs anymo Edited by user Friday, 24 June 2005 2:47:05 AM(UTC)

the v8 ute I wrecked had much thicker sway bar, I would think with the extra weight that would be standard.

Do they charge you for shims ? ( the money I've thrown away during my wheel alignment years!!!!) Just as well I've got big shim stacks in the Q ( love that positive castor) could be a gold mine.
