G'day,

I have a Holden HT wagon with a 186 engine, and I read online that the Holden HT wagon, with its longer wheelbase and typically higher weight capacity, requires a wider banjo diff compared to the sedan.

Is this true?

Wagon is the same as sedan, coupe, van, ute and Brougham. Only difference is the V8 banjo has less studs in the housing as it uses a couple of bolts in the bottom holes rather than studs. The housing has nuts welded there rather than the studs.

Also, ALL HK-HG are the same wheelbase. And HT wagon has the identical carrying capacity as a sedan. Example below:

HT Belmont sedan is 2675lb shipping or 2814lb Curb. Loaded is 3564lb
HT Belmont wagon is 2834lb shipping or 2973lb Curb. Loaded is 3723lb.

The difference across all three is 159lb (72kg), which is the extra weight of the wagon's roof, quarters and tonneau floor.
