Hi you guys no more than me thats for real. Im in new zealand and im putting a 350chev into my HQ sedan. I brought some mounts second hand and they look professonal but now the fuel pump hits the power steering box. Do I have the wrong mounts?? my engine is 1969 Ive also got a th400 trans will my standard cross member fit under it and bolt on or do I have to alter it. I notice it has 2 sets of holes . My HQ was a factory 202. Check it out here http://www.geocities.com/keithholden/HQholden.htmlCheers in advance

i put a t400 in a hz on a 4spd/trimatic crossmember just had to lengthen the bolt holes a bit. not sure bout the fuel pump, but hq's were designed for 350 chev's so it may be the mounts :?

You've probably got HK/T/G mounts. You need adapters for HQ-WB. Have a look at www.rodshop.com.au. For the crossmember just find a HJ-HZ 308 auto sedan/wagon/statesman (not late HZ with TH350) and get it's crossmember. Get it's tailshaft too if it's a Se |

I have a HQ ute with SBC and turbo 400. The fuel pump clears the steering (depending on outlet direction) with non-power steering. I briefly fitted power steering, and has to alter the fuel fitting placements on the pump (the bowl unbolts and can be mo |

Hi Keith.
As Byron said, you're better off using the HQ type mount adaptors.
The trick is they are different sizes & can be swapped. The thicker one goes to the driver's side.

6cyl engine stuff is the same, but it is a bit difficult to compare transmissions between HK and HQ as the only one that is common is the optional (in HK) 3-speed all syncho, plus HK's mount very differently to HT/G/Q - the gearbox mounts like the early c |

Have just taken the pics and sent them through to keithholden. The mounts look to be identical side to side.
If anyone else is after them, let me know.

HK and HT/G crossmembers are as alike as Valiant and Porche ones. They are totally different. HT/G crossmembers mount on outriggers off the front subframe. HK ones mount onto the floor underbody crossmember. Having said that, if you use a HT front clip on |
