I have a fresh 4.1 alloy head that has suddenly begun to run rough at idle and is sluggish on acceleration.
Placing figers accross the primary on the weber, almost blocking it(choking), settles the motor to correct idle, very smooth.
I have rebult the weber, twice, timing is correct, no obvious vacuum leaks.
Any thoughts??

Idle screw seat stripped, buy new idle screw it comes with a replacement interference fit metal seat which is easily pressed into recess, it is a common problem.
