Hi all,

New to this so bear with me. Recently purchased an FJ ute. Its already been restored, and nice and clean to look at, but mechanically could use some attention. My plans are to drop in a V8, and turn her into a little hot rod, but I don't have the know-how to start such a task. Engine/transmission will be the first to be done. Can anyone gimme some pointers, or steer me in the direction of someone who could work on it (willing to pay).

A V6 or V8 conversion on these is a relatively straight forward and common conversion, but it is not as simple as say a HR, as you need to do a fair amount of work on other stuff (like brakes). Some of it may already be done, and some may not be applicabl
