I have a Model A ford that has been rodded and I am trying to work out what model discs are on the front of it. I beleive they are around the XD ford era. Can anyone tell me what the studd pattern size is and if the discs from around Xy ford throught Xd are the same or have differences.

Stud pattern size for XY to XF is the same. It's the bearing hubs which are different in size. XY, XA and early XB have discs with the smaller bearing hub. Mid XB up to XC have discs with the larger bearing hub. That's why you can put later model wheel

an easy way to tell is to take your bearing numbers to a local bearing shop and have them matched they should be able to tell you what they are out of other wise as paul said see your local wrecker

Aren't Fords 5 x 114.5mm PCD?
One thing to be wary of with the Valiant hubs (if we are talking the same models...I'm a bit hazy on Valiant bits) is that the wheel studs on one side are RH thread and the other are LH thread.
Cheers...Dave

OK I measured up the spigot sizes on the weekend & came up with:
1/. Ford XW-XB 62mm (some XB's had the XC spigot size)
2/. Ford XC-EL & maybe later 70.5mm There was a change in rotor offset introduced with the EA
3/. Valiant/Centura 72mm

Yes Mitch they will fit the Chargers stud pattern but you may have to get the centre hole enlarged by about a mm (see above posts about centre spigot size). You will also have to get new wheel nuts as the Falcons had bigger threads than the Valiant. No bi |
