Hi all,
Seems my electric aerial on my VP commodore broke half way up through the chrome tubing. I've obatined a replacement consisting of tubing and the extending 'rope' with teeth for the motor to drive.
Next question is how do you get to the aerial to replace the mast, do I prise off the black plastic guard surround and hope for a small nut or do you take a wheel off and start removing inside guards?
cheers,
Ben

Hi again Ben.

It sounds like you're just about there, but you will find is easier to disconnect it totally from the car & do the repair on the bench using a another battery or a power pack or similar.

The problem you current have is no earth, the mo

Thanks again Dr,
I tried to have it earthed with some aligator clips on wire but possibly didn't get a great earth, not enough hands as usual. Will try again when someone is around to press the switch so I can play with wiring and see what happens!
