Hi guys and gals just wondering if anyone has fitted the VK Commodore Fuel injection to a HZ Kingswood and if so what do I need to complete this upgrade and how would I go about wiring it into my HZ's exsitsting wiring. Any help or advise on this would be very much appreciated.

It's an easy conversion. However I would recommend doing a VN 5.0L conversion instead. Same amount of work, more power and similar fuel economy. You can buy a smashed VN 5.0L at auction for around $1500 nowadays, so the actual cost is probably $1000 more

Thanks 70ute the link you posted was much informative and will really help make life easier.

Thanks also to you Byron Rich but I think I will stick to the 6 cyl option as there is less work and less driveline to change but man it would be nice to drop

If you must have a 6 cylinder (or lose peace), consider a VNS2/VP/VR V6 also. Whole cars with good motors are selling for $400! It is actually dearer for the V6 'kit' than it is to fit the 5.0L, but there is exactly the same amount of fuel system stuff ar

I did look into the V6 conversion option but could not find any information on how or what was needed for the conversion.

The other thing is I really dont like the idea of having to change diffs if that is part of the mod and I could not find out wher

The EFI conversion is not that hard. Use a black head either carby or injected doesn't matter although the carby head you will have to block the air pump ports.
If you put the injection stuff on your old red block (recommended because then you only need

One thing I have seen done when putting an EFI conversion (202, V6 or 5L) into a HQ-WB is to move the battery to the other side so that you can then fit the STD commodore airbox, and as John has said plumb a duct in to get cold air from in front of the ra

With the V6 and V8, I'd agree with Byron...Move the battery to the driver's side. However, the 202 injection points the intake to the driver's side, so I'd recommend leaving the battery on the passenger's side and running the intake for the airbox through

Coupled to a Trimatic and 3.08 diff it is a cruising machine, that probably get

i agree, if a 6cyl is the only option, go a VN series II- VR series I (non ecotec) conversion.
