holden 202 Options

What i'm chasing is some cheap power. honestly all i want is to be able to keep up with most commodores say VN-VP's and to be able to get the wheels spinning. is this asking to much for a 202? what do you guys suggest doing to it without going as far as a whole new engine.

But if you don`t have a big wallet and I take it yours is an auto,change it to a manual and 3:55 or 3:36 diff ratio will get it spinning all over, but forget about out doing

Swap it all over. You will have to buy a new gas converter and newgen mixer also.

Did any 202's come out with 4speed auto's? or is there any 4speed's that can be used with a red 202? thanks
