hi guys, jus regarding my 308 HJ ute, backed up by a 2speed. I was dragging the other nite,on my own private strip :). and on about 300metres my car started starving for fuel, so i had to back of and only run 3qaurter throttle. Now the question is, will changing the float level in the quadrajet do anything to help??or should i upsize the jets a little, iam running size 76jets atm in a prepollution carby, and the guy at the carby place said these will be big enough as they were used in the brock commodores, but i think the 2speed might be asking more from the motor...or could it be something entirely different??? Also on an argument i was having with my brother, will a motor detinate if it is starved of fuel?? thanks guys john...

Yes, what I'd do to start with (pretty cheap stuff here for big gains) is:
1) Change to #78 jets (do not go bigger, these are available from CSC in Burwood, NSW) 2) Reset float level (see my last post) 3) Increase needle/seat assembly to a edelbro
