Hi Kids,
My question is.....Can i run a B & M shifter in my Hg Panelvan fitted with an factory auto console?
I am considering a Mega or Quicksilver shifter and as these are cable operated i guess i can position them most anywhere, but was wondering about the shifters bulkiness fitting under this console....
And also , if it fits under, will the shifters forward / backward operation actually fit in the consoles original shifter slot?
The console is not in the car and i have not purchased a shifter just yet, so any other ideas would be very helpfull.
Gonna run a TH350 or a 400 or a glide...and dont like my chances of finding a stock shifter to use.....also the car is not an original resto , so i just want a shifter that i can rely on / easy to use :)
Thank you in advance.......

Finally got this operational. A bit of mucking around but have ended up with stock looks but ratchet shifter. Used the Hurst shifter Promatic (Cheaper and just as good or better than B&M). Had to mount console about an inch back from original so shifter c

My first car was a HK Monaro. I was only 16 when i bought it( some years ago now).
I mounted the B & M Mega shifter into the console running a turbo 350 in it. Had no ploblems with it and looked fantastic!
