Can anyone advise if you can determine what is an open centre or LSD without removing the axles and centre?
Thanks

One of the ways I've always used is to jack the car up & put it on stands.

Release the handbrake, and then spin one of the rear wheels.

If the tailshaft spins, whack it into gear (park for an auto) and try again.

If the other wheel spins freely i

Hi Mr Ejay.

The diff housing with the 2 long bolts is not made to suit the LSD. The 2 long bolts are at 6 o'clock & 7 o'clock looking from the front.

The housing that has 2 longer bolts is cast differently to clear the larger crown wheel on 2.78 & 3
