G'Day I am in the process of builing up my old HD and I have the age old problem of the winscreen fogging up, so my question is, is there an Air Conditioning System from a later model or even an after market unit that may fit into the old girl. Thanks Eddie |

Hi Eddie, mate this maybe more than what your willing to spend but in my EH I run a Vintage Air heater/AC unit. I tried heaps of small ricer units but they were all to big. The unit is just over $900 and then you still need your compressor, condenser et

I have an a/c unit out of a 85 or Daihatsu it is pretty compact and has the heater and blower and air all in the one unit, its pretty compact. I am planning to put it in a morris minor so one should go in your car. I also have a heater/ blower unit out o

For a start you can cross Nissan, Hyundai and Hondas off the shopping list as they are all to wide and high. The great lack of wreckers up my way with a wide range of cars was my undoing......... but it is worth having a look, some of the bigger yards I'

i just went for a drive the some jap wreckers in my area. every unit that i found seemed to be to big to go under the dash...... does anyone have any idea's on what model of car i should be looking at? michael.

Daihatsu's are small....... Like John has said above, have come across a few since I got mine and they may go close. Just try and get a unit that does not use vacuum (only cables) then you should be able to cut and shut the cable lengths to suit.

Have a look on EBAY, theres a guy that sells a combined AC/Heater unit on there, its a small unit designed to fit under dash, very similar to the vintage air one, sell them for around the 200 dollar mark from memory

I would have thought the vacuum operated controls would be better, to alter the length of the hose just cut it, and you can go around corners easier.

Just a personal preference thing with the vacuum .... also so you can use the standard control's on the dash and then only need to fit a a/c "on" switch. Thank god all the control's on mine are electric....
life's to short not to be....
