Hi there, can anyone tell me if I can use a 149 standard camshaft in a standard 179?

john , yeh you can if you want , but why you would dio this?, if you have got this far get a replacement camshaft for your engine configuration , you can get a suitable grind to suit your engine specs and all will make sense, contact a local engine shop f

Thanks for that Pete. I had new rings & bearing put in, but I didn't know it had a different cam from standard (motor was a non goer when I got it)
I've got a few 149's sitting around so was hoping one of those cams would fix work out ok......
