Yellow needle. All HZs and WBs out of the factory had yellow needle dashes (except Statesmans)

Also the HZ Sandman had a HZ GTS steering wheel. The wheel was identical to HX but the horn cap had a round holden badge in the centre and no bolts around th

The wheel you are talking about is the same as late HZ GTS's, HZ SL/E, late toranas (incl UC) etc. The HZ SL/E Statesman also had the yellow needle dash.

Hi Byron.

Why do you say 'Late' HZ GTS for the steering wheel, AFAIK all HZ GTS had this wheel.

The wheel was also optional on Premier and I think others. But 100% on Premier.

They were also 100% on early GTS.

Interestingly my HZ BO6 (ambulance pack) tonner came standard with a black wheel, with the earlier cap the same as an LX SS (ie blank).
I think I have one of the later caps NOS somewhere at home. I think it's a tan one.

Hi Guys.

The BO6 Ambulance pack had the base model 2 spoke steering wheel, many were replaced with a GTS wheel from the spare parts dept. of the selling dealers, because the stock wheel looked crook in basic black. The older style GTS bolt-on cap would

Hi Jaime.

Yes, the symbols changed at the same time as the needle colour (& shape). The jerry can belongs to HJ & HX, while the fuel pump is correct for HZ & WB.

The HZ/WB symbols are to the newer 'ISO' standard & just about every symbol on the dash
