Can anyone shed some light on this? HK/T and HG trim appear to be the same:

Here are all the numbers, and you will see why I am confused!
The cut-outs fit a HG grill neatly, so I guess they are the HG.

Left unit:
7433935 chrome
7434078 black
holden 1 272,
rd no. 49880LH

Right unit:
2814214 chrome,
2914216 black (HG),
then on the other side of the top of the right hand unit it has:
7433936 chrome,
7434080 black (HK/HT)
rd no. 49879 RH,
holden 1 272.

Both units have identical HG grill cut-outs at the top!
The right hand unitwith 2 sets of numbers is in better condition than the
left, could this be a later replacement type unit to cover all three models?
The units I put on my car (HG ute) were mint, and I had to modify one of
them to suit the grill, so this must have been a HK HT one?

You are correct that HK/T are the same, and HG is different. There have been NOS HG ones around for a while, but HK/T are more valuable and rarer. The 74 prefixed numbers are HK/T as you say, and the 28 numbers are HG.
The ones with just the 74 numbers a

Thanks for that Byron, so it appears there is a HK/T casting; a HG casting; and a HK/T/G casting - is that correct? Can you tell me what exactly is the difference between a K/T and a G one?

Do you know where any HG L&R NOS trims are available?

I should clarify that everything after the first line in the OP is from a seller of these trims, so I don't understand myself about the cutouts he refers to
