G'day guys,

Can anybody tell me what this head is off?? - 7420081 - c3- 5 -6.

The wreckers at the local yard tell me that it is a standard 186 head, I'm a bit sceptical though, number doesn't look right... Is this number a low or high comp, and which needed for the standard 186 block??

cheers james

Hi jimbobute.

That number is the correct number for normal 179 & early 186 heads. It has the large combustion chamber so when it is fitted to a 'normal' stock bore 186 with std flat top pistons the comp ratio will be 9.2:1.

Dr Terry.
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0
