How much would it cost to get the body of a panelvan bead blasted? Am looking at restoring mine and was throwing up some ideas? cheers

With glass beads? Im not sure if the glass beads would remove paint as well as garnet or other stuff. Chemical striping is the way to go I think. They just paint it on and blast it off with water and thats it. I had my car acid diped and zinc pacifate pla

Yes and you get acid into all the joints and nooks and crannies and melt out all the sealants which you can never get sealed properly again. then it rusts out from between the joints. Glass beads will remove paint easily I used them with my hobby blaster.

If we have a car we are restoring at work that the owner has had the panels acid dipped, we have to take all of the door skins off and clean all traces of acid, then refit the skins. It creates more rust than ever in the joints and ruins good panels. We s

Hi was wondering if anyone can reccomend a blaster in Melbourne Northeren Suburbs, (I am up near Thomastown if that helps, I have doors and panels to get done

In all honesty you are limited to Geelong. There would only be so many blasters in Geelong. Ring them all and the list will get cut right down as a number of them won't do large items, or cars, or whatever reason. Then work from there.

Try Melbourne Soda Blasting. I think there may be some advantages over normal bead blasting.
