G'day I am currently after a 5 speed gearbox to put behind my 202, I was told that this gearbox would fit up without much change. How true is this? any help would be very appreciated.

It goes this way:
A 202 is just a bigger 173 (externally the same). A Starfire is a 173 with the middle two pistons removed, hence the back of it looks just like a 202. So the box will bolt straight up. Just beware of clutch diameter and gearstick loca |

I was told the boxes were as strong as a 6 cyl one but had different 1-4th gear ratios, bit lower.
