i dropd a 250xflow in my te cortina. alloy head slite workd, cam, electronic ignition standarded carb, extractors. engine was on gas in a falcon back on petrol now. the gas cam marchs on petrol (dunno why??) is redline manifold n holly the way to go next?

redline and holley is a must.the stock 2 barrel is pretty good but the stock manifolds are very poor for flow.

What do u mean it marchs on petrol. A gas cam is only just bigger than stock so it should run fine,shouldnt b too lumpy either.dont just go straight for a holley because the weber sounds like it needs a tune.

marchs, goes hell of alot better than it should. i left a vs commodore for dead it suprised me. it has single barrel stromberg.

ok Im with it now. If it goes hard that is normal coz my te six weighs 1100 kg with the cast iron motor but i run an alloy head xd 250 with a stromberg which is at least 30 kgs lighter. All up a corty weighs between 1000-1100kgs compared to a commodore 14

A two barrel weber 32/36 dgv will fit on a standard single barrel manifold with a redline adapter. These weber carbys are heaps better than the xe xf falcon carbs.I will put one on my corty as soon as i get motivated.

plus, gas cams have much higher lift in the exhaust if my memory serves me correctly, enhancing flow.
