hi guys can some help me i have a 253 im my hz sedan it has a three speed coloum i reacently picked up a 4 speed out of a worked vk 6 (mate had it in shed wrapped in plastic ) i wanna put it in what mods do i have to carry out ayny help would be cool

That 4-speed is probably no good to you, unless it's an aussie 4-speed. If it is an M20 aussie box you can rebuild it to suit a 253, but you will need a V8 input shaft and V8 dust cover (cover over the front shaft). If your HZ is a 3-speed column shift, a

thanks it is a manual 3 speed and what is wrong wit the mc6 i think this might be a mc6 as there are no linkage and cant i just swap the input shafts around

The MC6 is not a strong box. It was built in the Phillipines I think, and as far as I know there is no bellhousing available to fit it behind a 253. Plus there is no V8 input shaft for you to swap around. You'll have to find a V8 aussie 4-speed. Don't buy
