As this site seems to be conected with rare spares I figure this is a good place to complain about them. You have a shop in Beverly Hills NSW that proudly presents itself as Rare Spares. But it does not appear on you website and tells me they won't sell me the product i want because of insurance reasons???? Looking for the part on your "online shop" it asks me to select state and then which store. Homebush was the store of choice. They list upper control arms for HQ to WB holdens on an exchange basis for $109.42. Great just what I want. Homebush will not sell them to me tells me to go straight to melbourne. Freight to get mine to them as they won;t sell them without seing mine first. The guy says I don;t know. I asked how much it costs to send the new ones to me. OHHH About $50. So $50 to send mine to them $50 to get them back and when they get mine thay may not even accept them. This is a load of ****. You advertise through your web site that they are available from Rare Spares Hombush. They have a price. Which is not what melbourne quoted any way. What the hell is the point of the on line shop. Every time I have ever tried to buy from the Hombuse or beverly hills store you get the run around or hey can;t get what you want where on the web site it is cleary listed that they sell. What a load of ****.

To be fair to the guys at rare spares Homebush, I've been in there a couple of times, admittedly only buying trinket type stuff like badges, a trim strip & some locks, and they were great.

I guess you guys seem to be having issues where the website is
Cheers,

Mick

the problem with that mick is there is very few 1948 to 1984 across the board early holden specialists..finding staff that have knowledge embedded in there head and do not need to rely on computers is the downfall of all parts shops these days...not just

I have just checked all the Rare Spares shops and we only have one HQ rust panel on order to go to NSW and that is an RP1042 wheel arch top. If that is the part you require Melbourne does have stock. You may have phoned Melbourne to check stock

I would not say it is a common problem but we have had a problem with one of or rust panel manufacturers who’s premises burnt down some time ago and he is still having trouble catching up, the subframe sectins are made by him

I'm glad Rare-spares are doing their thing - At least I know I can get stuff - even if I can't afford it right now. After reading the article about them in Street Machine a while back I now understand why the bits can be expensive. That being said, I orde
