Hi, monotorque gaskets on a red 308, do the beads of blue silicone go to the top (head side) and is this the same on both sides.I had the motor reconditioned 3000km ago, not sure now witch way I put them. The driver side head is leaking from the front now. I have checked all bolts and they are still ok. I have been using nulon coolent and have just read on ACL's website to use distiled water not tap water, nulon said the same, would this cause a leak after 3000ks. and help would be great. Craig

Did you use sealant on the head bolts, some of them go into water. Thats why you don't retorque. The sealant dries hard.

Type of water would have no effect on leaks. Have a look in history there was a big discussion on leaks a while ago.
