Just about to commence converting my standard HVAC system in my VR ute to climate control and wondering if anyone knows if the evaporator temp sensor can be mounted with out complete removal of the HVAC unit - has anyone done this????

Ideally you have to reove the HVAC box, however....

I used the donor box to work out where to drill a hole in the housing, beside the recirc/fresh flap, above the core - there is a small section between 4 webs.
I then fed a wire up into there, aiming

The system works fine in the wagon - keeping the temp as accurate as my VS2 Calais.
