Has anyone ever heard of lowering the suspension on a HT subframe but lowering the Pivot shaft and redrilling the holes. I'm building a Plymouth ratrod and am using a HT Holden subframe. The chassis builder tells me buy doing this it will handle better would I need to have lower springs made and special shocks has anyone ever done this mod.

If you are simply lowering the upper control arm the 6cyl coils should be fine. All the new shocks available should be the same nowadays.

Met a bloke with a HK ute that said he'd done this mod & now it handles great, like it's on rails. Is it really as simple as drilling new holes...?

I'm running cycle guards so does anyone think it would be possible to cut and reweld the tower bit so it would be an inch lower, could this be done and still regain the same strenght as the origunal setup.
