One instant she runs like a dream, the next start, hard to start, it won't idle, misses, surges, cuts out.
Cleaned injectors, new fuel filter, new HT leads, new rotor button, fuel tank drained and cleaned, fuel pump tested.
Stumped. has anyone had similar problem?

Try cleaning out the throttle body & idle stepper motor with throttle body cleaner (can't remember if they have one) Another thing it could be is a voltage drop to the ignition system or a bad vacum leak.

Oh one other thing if I remember correctly those XE XF multi point fuel injection motors run like crap even if you have an oil leak or dip stick is not in properly as their a sealed system. Their air flow meters also play up.

I had a similar problem with my old EFI XE. Turned out to be the coil had gone a bit intermittent.

Check that the hose clamps inside the fuel pump are tight
