does anybody know if any other headlights will fit into the premier front panel or do i have to stick with the sealed beam type, as i have a light out and before i replace it i was considering my options.

HZ have halogen lamps, so this is an option.

The headlamps on your car a standard 7 inchers. They will interchange with just about any headlight. you regularly see crystal/jewell type headlights on eBay for around $50-$60 a pair new.

Often they are advertised as suiting a Nissan Patrol but i bel

Hi Guys.

Jim, if ianb's HX has a Premier front, then the single 7" beams won't fit. The dual headlight (Premier) set-up use 2 x 5 3/4" beams on each side, one for lo/hi & one for hi only.

as stated, i have the premier front, so twin light set up. i have been quoted about $200 for a halogen conversion that fits into the original rings, would i need to put relays into the light circuits, and if so, where is best, i will only run 55 low beam,

Hi Ian,

Although they aren't THAT common nowadays, troll the wreckers yards that have older cars in stock and you may find a set of 5¾" halogen lights that'll suit your car.

Aftermarket ones are still available but will probably have to be ordered i

Ooops my bad I failed to read the word Premier sorry. I think that just about all cars with quad round headlamps in the 60's 70's & 80's had much the same setup with the 5 3/4 lamps. A couple of notable exceptions are Rolls royces & MK4 Zodiacs their quad
