Hello all. I have a auto bodied EJ Holden. I was given a 161 red motor and 3 speed box. I had the HR Front end already. Now my problem is as this was auto to start and it was fully pulled apart when i got it I have no idea how to do the cluch setup from the pedal to the fork to enable me to use the clutch. Is it cable or hydraulic or what can I use. ON a tight budget unfortunately. If anyone has pics to that would be great. parts even better

You will need a manual pedal set-up, plus m/cyl, slave cyl & plumbing.

The holes are already in the firewall for the m/cyl mount.

The slave cylinder mounts straight onto the bell housing.

Rather than copy the factory hose & pipe arrangement, it would be easier to use the HD/HR flexible hose which runs from the m/cyl directly to the slave.

I'm assuming the 3spd you have is a crash box? Or is it an all synchro from HK-HG? How are you going to shift it? Column or floor shift?

Have the engine mount brackets been moved on the HR front end to suit the earlier Holden?

What did the engine come from? 161 could be HR, HK, HT or HG. HR was crash box, HK was either and HT-HG is all synchro.

If I remember correctly, the syncro box need some mods to the floor to fit? For a speedway car, a big hammer sufficed.

Attn camry drivers. The accelerator is the skinny pedal on the right.

No, not required in an EJ/EH auto body. The hump is already large enough for most conversions.
