Boom, i have had some hot 6's
the problem i found (especially with Toyota gearboxes behind them) is that the clutch gives up.
you may have to go for a triple plate clutch as Peter said.
its hard to get all that power thru a std. holden 6 clutch

270kw. Clutch will be expensive. I can try and find out what they are using at work. I went manual shift Trimatic, as I was not finding much joy with clutch availablity for the torque I am producing. However you are making a high hp engine. Are you runnin

ahh, a muncie would be good, are they 5sp? i've heard they're really strong. do CRS sell the adaptor plates? and would the conversion be harder/easier or cheaper/more expensive than a Supra conversion?

oh, peter i'm not quite sure what CFM the throttlebody will be yet. But yes it will be GRA gear.

also, a V8 aussie 4sp wouldn't be able to handle the power/torque will it? i was looking at the Nissan Stanza 5 speeds. How strong are they?

What about a toploader? any idea on a clutch i should use? peter said go with triple plate. that sounds like a good choice.

sorry, i don't want an auto. Are muncies easy to come by?? how expensive are they? and i think i will go with the WB tonner clutch, but will they bolt to the Blue flywheel? or do you mean off a blue WB motor? i a bit lost

A WB One-Tonner has a Blue motor.

I would go the auto as well, if you want reduced running costs & dont like pulling gearboxes in & out on a regular basis.

This has all been done many times before. I built a turbo Holden 6 back in the 7
