Hi folks,

I have the 253 out of the Prem. What a HUGE F*&%$#@ hole is left !!

Would now be the BEST time to remove, clean and repaint those huge inner guards ?

Or can they be done with the back engine in ? I have no idea on this one...never done it. Too many bolts from memory.

Traditionally its done before the motor goes in. Its a hassle, but to make sure it works, you trial fit the motor (just sit it in place with nothing joined back up) to make sure theres no major headaches that would arrive when your newly painted guards ar

Gday John, I have just done a 308 rebuild in my van. I took the entire front end off. Its just 8 bolts possibly 10. 2 to the chassis at the radiator, 1 each side of the windscreen cowl, 2 each side bottom of guard to body and 2 or 3 each side inside the
