HQ GTS DASH FASCIA is badly needed as most original ones have been butchered and/or broken.

Thanks for asking Les,

I agree with ABSINTH. The company that can recreate the mouldings will make a motza.

How many HQ GTS, HQ utes, even Kingy and Van users would love a new SHCMICK one in lieu of the 35yo just passable one.

Cheers John

Question for rare spares, why dont they make rare spares parts exact copies just take away the part numpers? is it a copyright issues? i mean if they could make this stuff 50 years ago why cant they make repros look the same now?

Because the cost of tooling far outweights profits. In the 70s Holdens would make 100,000s of parts, nowadays the cost of creating dies, presses etc far outweighs the profits of selling a few hundred items.

EJ-EH model combined was over 400,000 vehicles. That is a lot of small parts that can be made from dies that may cost $10,000 each to make. Do it for 3000 parts and the die/ part cost increases very dramatically.

i scratched my head when they released a repro LE monro grille badge. why tool up for max 300 sales? 150 LEs would be dust and 100 would be original that only leaves about 300max. Whats next brabham torana good bits...

I would like to see LJ Xu1 locking fuel caps

cheers
