Hi Warren,

My remark regarding your Monaro reputation goes like this. When I bought the special Monaro book back in 1999 I was just blown away at the depth and detail of research that had gone into it. The only other book I knew about that could even b

Firstly I shall again state I did a two page article on the 30th anniversary of the A9X, just like the VL 20th anniversary article, not a full research into everything that opens and shuts. Ben and I took 3 years to write the Moinaro story with no dead li

I've only just managed to get my hands in this controversial magazine and read the relevant areas!

From an 'outsider' point of view - I know my commodores, but not a lot on earlier Holdens, so I was keen to learn more about the A9X. I found it a good

We have sat back and taken in all the literary delights that make up this A9X Magazine topic. What a read!!! There are obviously some seriously knowledgeable people out there - all with individual opinions. After being sent a link to this topic th

Hi Warren,

I'm back. Many thanks for your input on the issue. I can help a little more here as I came prepared today. No A9X has AHZ or BHZ on the compliance plate or chassis rail. All A9X cars were complianced in 1977. No hatch car has the steering lo

The steering lock was bought up earlier by blue A9X. Here is his response:

A tidbit for the ADR stuff is that even though the new design steering lock features in a 12/77 A9X the car does not have the DLX prefix.

My answer related to what I know, th

Just to add to what Warren has said, I was under the impression that the official introduction of ADR25A was for 1/1/78 along with the change from AHZ to BHZ (& CLX to BLX).

It was Blue A9X who first mentioned A9U.

Went back further in the records found 2 with A9U.

One with sales date 14/11/77, other 21/11/77. Both sedans, both built in October. Both ordered in September.

Lots af cars built after these two, so my question would be why not all from that date?
