I've only just managed to get my hands in this controversial magazine and read the relevant areas!
From an 'outsider' point of view - I know my commodores, but not a lot on earlier Holdens, so I was keen to learn more about the A9X. I found it a good |

The steering lock was bought up earlier by blue A9X. Here is his response:
A tidbit for the ADR stuff is that even though the new design steering lock features in a 12/77 A9X the car does not have the DLX prefix.

Just to add to what Warren has said, I was under the impression that the official introduction of ADR25A was for 1/1/78 along with the change from AHZ to BHZ (& CLX to BLX).
It was Blue A9X who first mentioned A9U.

Went back further in the records found 2 with A9U.
One with sales date 14/11/77, other 21/11/77. Both sedans, both built in October. Both ordered in September.
Lots af cars built after these two, so my question would be why not all from that date?

A9X = CHEVY VEGA WITH PLASTIC ENGINE, no bragging rights there at all
AFTER 1972 THERE AINT NO MUSCLE CARS AND MATCHING NUMBERS ARE FOR TIMES TABLES....
