If its an HQ or an HJ built before Feb 76 it will already have the short steering arms. The pitman arm off the manual box has a different diameter & spline, so it will not fit. You need the correct power steering pitman arm. Rhys, be careful telling Edited by user Thursday, 19 February 2009 2:00:35 AM(UTC)

Sorry guys, didnt mean to mislead. I was speaking of my experiences in doing a once off conversion. Dr Terry, when did the metric threads and different hoses come in? What mistakes do a lot of people make when doing this conversion? Edited by user Wednesday, 18 February 2009 11:02:08 PM(UTC)

It will fit, I have just done the same thing to my HJ. It should not even efect your front end alignment. make sure you have the steering shaft flexible coupling with it as it is different to the manual one. Cheers, Pete.
