Intermediate steering shaft mocked up. Final length still needs to be confirmed once everything is fitted 100% correctly

Once again, congratulations on such impressive builds, and on taking the trouble to share them with us. I wonder how you go about getting the finished product certified, with so many alterations, modifications and fabricated parts in critical areas. Do you involve the certifying engineer all the way along, or document each modification, or just present the finished product?
I shudder thinking about having to justify each and every alteration to a third party.

Getting an engineer involved at stage one is a good idea. It's also a good idea to read VSB14 and the VSCCS regulations from cover to cover. These outline all the requirements in pretty plain terms. I have also done this a few times before so that makes it a lot easier..
