Ok fellas here is a simple one for you... I am doing a sell up.......To cut a long story to the core...Can a 6 cyl trimatic be put on a v8 bell housing with v8 T/converter to standard 253 without having any dramas as a sort of weekend cruiser?

External they there is bugger all difference.....The V8 one I have is a left hand selector and he wants to retain the column shift for a HZ.

Easier and cheaper to find a V8 box. Need the V8 pump too.

It would also be easier to use the internal crossover shaft mech from the 6cyl box into the V8 box you have. The Trimatic is natively a LH shift box and GMH added the internal crossover for column shift HT-HG. If you pull the pan off you'll see it.
