Have had my HT GTS under cover in the shed for a long while and when moving it the other day was surprised to learn the previously fine steering wheel was all sticky (very). So I figure no problem as I have a good one stored away in a cupboard. Well much to my horror this one is sticky as hell also. Does any one know how or if they can be fixed / de-stickied now that I have 2 useless steering wheels ?

I have a fair few HT-HZ ones in boxes and hanging around in the shed, they all go like that. I normally just clean them with vinyl cleaner. Not sure if it is the right thing to do or not. |

It’s known to happen to GTS steering wheels. It’s the plastic breaking back down Into oil, which it’s made from. It happened to one of mine. I stored it inside afterwards, where it’s cooler which worked. Edited by user Thursday, 2 August 2018 4:42:31 PM(UTC)
