I don't quite understand. Are you saying that every time you switch to hi-beam, the RH low-beam filament burns out ?

Sorry for late reply Yep that’s exactly what happens and only the drivers side ??! And it’s hard to test any diagnostics coz I blow a headlight? Edited by user Monday, 25 July 2022 8:32:24 PM(UTC)

                A very strange phenomenon.
Assuming your alternator charge rate isn't going over 14.2 volts & you're using quality globes, I can't explain it.

Yep got me stumped I was thinking maybe the dipper switch is playing up But can’t attribute that to just the RH headlight and the spike in voltage to take out the low beam To get lights I have to go back to low beam and hot wire from the low beam plug to the high beam prong It’s nuts

Some random thoughts which may (or may not) help. I'm not familiar with HK electrics so adapt as required.
Pull the connector off the headlight and connect a multimeter, fuse or test light to each terminal. See what happens. Maybe measure the voltage and amps when you turn the lights on or flip from high to low and back again? Do the same with the dip switch. Could it be a fault in the headlight switch? Try and find out what is happening. Do it with the engine running as well as turned off. Dunno. Sounds very irritating so good luck.

Could the right low beam be acting like a fuse if the dip switch is shorting when pressed

Check the connection on the headlight is not shorting out.

Hi All I replaced the headlight switch as I think the bio strip for the headlights in the switch may have been the problem The connector plug on the right side near accelerator pedal was played with
I put a couple of test lights on the right hand headlight plug and they are dipping from test light to test light from high to low beam
So all seems to be working ok 👍🏻 Thanks heaps for the input Thanks Again
