Rank: Member Reputation: Groups: Registered Joined: 29/08/2011(UTC) Posts: 3		Doing a 308 conversion into an HQ. Want to go full cable clutch but don't want to pay the huge price for a genuine pedal. I am going to weld the hook onto a HQ ratrap pedal and shorten it as necessary. Does anyone have the exact measurements of the V8 hook and the total length of the pedal. Or alternatively how much shorter is the V8 pedal. Will be welded by an engineer. Thanks.

It is only 6cyl WB (and late HZ) that is longer. Just buy a repro pedal. Cheaper than modifying one. In my experience most Engineers can't weld!

If using the lower hole you can use the HX or early HZ bracket. The top pivot hole only suits 6cyl.
