I’ve installed a rebuilt master cyl and bled the calipers The pedal feel is ok but the car will only stop when pedal is at the bottom Would this be air still in the system or an internal issue with the master?

come on mate go and get someone that knows what they are doing to help you and show you whats going on . Its only the brakes its not like you'll get a 2nd chance if something happens. Surely you have a mate that can have a look and help you. I described a problem to some mates once they all said its a bad caliper it turned it it was the booster as soon as one bloke showed up put his foot on the brake he said booster. That would bleed up good until the motor started. Edited by user Tuesday, 22 April 2025 8:55:06 AM(UTC)

With my drum brakes if you pump the brake pedal rapidly and it comes 'up' then it is air in the lines. Not sure if the same thing happens with disc brakes! If you rebuilt the master cylinder that was on there before, it probably isn't a problem with that. But I think there are a number of different pushrods which go inside the boosters/master cyinders. So if it is a different m/c this might be what is happening. I'm not sure on any of this, maybe someone out there knows wat happens inside the darn things. It’s not like the car has completley no brakes it just the vehicle only stops when the pedal is almost to the floor. Would I be correct in saying that if it was a master cyl issue then there would be no brakes at all?
