I there i have a HZ with the woodgrain statesman dash which i am trying to remove, however i seem to be stuck with the headlight knob. Can anyone please tell me how to remove the knob so the dash will come out. thanks

With the lower facia removed feel up around the switch. There is a button on it that you have to press. Been ages since I did it so I can't remember exacty where it is, but I think it is on the driver's side. From memory you pull the switch out to ON and press the button and the switch and shaft come out. If you have trouble press the button with it off and then pull it out. Then use a big flat blade screwdriver to undo the nut around the hole where the shaft came from.

the switch needs to be in the park light position

there's a spring loaded button on the side of the switch under the dash facing the passenger side of the car, it needs to be pushed in while pulling the knob out, just remember to have the switch in the park light position first
