Is the diff housing/axles/brakes etc for a standard HT banjo diff the same as a HT 2.78 LSD banjo diff? Also when you paint the backing plate do you use heat resistant paint or just normal paint? Thanks for your help.

I believe that a 2.78 or 3.08 banjo centre has 2 long bolts at the bottom & the rest short studs, whereas the 3.36 & lower banjos have all short studs & only 1 (short) bolt. The gasket is the same though.

You will need to weld a 5/16-inch UNF nut inside the housing to cater for the extra bolt or use a long bolt as a stud & put a shakeproof washer under its head. A Holden 6 lower alternator bolt will do the job.
