I am thinking of putting VR 205x65x15 wheels/tyres on my stock 202 VK auto.
what effect will this have on the speedo and performance?

Just work out the tyre diameter and compare to what is standard. It is easy to work out, 205mm is the width. Profile is 65% of the width. So diameter is 205mm x 0.65 x 2 + 15" (15x25.4mm). Do the same for the standard tyres and divide one by the other to see the % difference. You should be able to change the speedo gear to suit as 205/65/15 was a VK standard size from memory.

The rolling diameter of standard 14" and 15" are so close that Holden fitted them all with the same speedo gear, so the answer is zero.
