not quite a holden but ive had no luck on the corvette sites, can anyone explain how to convert corvette red brake and indicator wiring to use the reverse lights for indicators. ta

When I did my bro-in-law's 62 chev, we used the existing brake light wires (which would flash with the blinker on) as the blinker wires - moving them into the reverse light holes, and fitting amber globes.
I then ran a new single wire from the brake light switch, down to the brake lights, so they would work normally (as they no longer had the blinking part wired to them) - just like Aussie cars.

Mick is right,thats how its done ,even is the"proper" conversion places,,commodore orange bulbs from memory.

I did my '75 Corvette a couple of years ago. Did much the same as commodorenut has indicated, except I ran two new wires for the blinkers. Picked up the blinker wiring at the bottom of the column. In my case, I added two extra reversing lights instead of using the existing lights as both blinker and reversing. What model 'Vette is it? Do you have a wiring diagram? Bob

Thanks guys, Im told to locate where the brake wire feeds into the cloumn plug and remove it. Then locate the wire from the reverse swiitch and put it in the socket where the brake terminal wass. Then use the removed brake wire and connect it to the cut reverse wire from the rear of the car. effectively swapping wire runs. Then disconnect the indicator wires from the brake/tail light holder and connect to a single filament holder and plug into the reverse lens each side. Then use the old reverse loom and connect to the dual filament holder at the location of the previously cut wire. To cut a long story short, the inputs to the steering column plug are swapped and the globe holder fittings are re wired. therby no additional wiring runs required. and No I dont have a wiring diagram, so if someone has one and would like to take a photocopy and email to me i would appreciate it very much ta

If it follows GM wiring protocol, then the reverse light wires (at the box or shifter) will be pink & green, Pink being the ignition feed, and green being from the switch to the reverse lights. This will mean that your brake lights only work with the ignition switched on.
