Two All Holden Days in Vic already has not hurt either of them with attendances in the 350-500 each year at both events. Having had a big hand in the organisation of the majority of the Geelong Holden Days, I think we should all be congratulating the fellas for taking on the job and being prepared to do the ground work on what is bound to be an arduous yet successful and rewarding slog.

Personally, I will try and rub out any things that the missus has put on the calendar and attend Wangaratta Dave. I don't know about yours Simon (sorry), simply due to the distance factor, but I hope you get plenty of attendees too.

I think we can save it...I'm taking it back

Build it and they will come.....So will I!!
Saw a HK Panel Van today at the back of a house I was doing a garden quote on....GTS guards, fantastic condition body wise, 307 and powerglide and the guy said it was his cousins and that was how his cousin ordered it from the factory?....Did they do that sort of combo for a van? It was bloody fantastic, i nearly had a "crisis" !!

307 Powerglide, yes. GTS guards, no.

Wow! Yes and very rare to see. Not sure about GTS guards? All the primary producers could have their "tractor" equipped with the 307,glide combo as well as Joe public. Not sure if "K's" in the utes and panel vans could be had with the saginaws?
I have seen late T's and G's with it though.
Think I would have had a crisis as well, as the V8 equipped utes and panel vans in all three series don't even amount to 200?
Take photos and bring them to the event, or even better talk the guy into getting the car there. I think a lot of people would love to see one.

Not sure of the origin of 200.

Australian rego figures for 1968 and 1969 are as follows:

307 ute 262
307 van 46
253 ute 262
253 van 49

Then add 70 and 71.

Warren, or anyone else who may know, how many 307 Kingswoods were made and how many of those were in Pinaroo Beige with Goya Red with Cressy Red inserts for the interior? Yes, that's what I've got, not ever selling just interested for interests (read bragging!) sakes.

Best I can do is rego figures of 307

Sedan 14737
Wagon 1115

As for other info no one would know unless they went through all 200000 records and sorted for you.

14000 plus 307's bloody hell that's a lot more than Ithought there would have been, as a younger lad I remember any v8 in the k-t-g range was rare enough to see on a monthly basis let alone weekly, and that's when you could get prem's for $600 with a rwc, yes I did get one for that price from a car yard, bloody ripper nick too. The turds who stole it thought so too....
I will never forget seeing my first HK Bathurst Monaro blasting through the intersection near where I was brought up near Eltham Victoria, the noise, the noise.....Awesome
There's a LS Monaro with the obligatory added reflectors everywhere on it in Reservoir, I"ve seen it twice in the last week being diven around by either an Italian or Greek Papa, V8 auto, smooth sound.....nice

its been quiet for several reasons

first off is i never received confirmation of venue & costings till mid to late january,& have been flat out with work & setting up another shed.
there hasnt been many ppl replying on here that they would definitely attend.
would need minimum 50 cars to enter or it wouldnt be worth it or affordable.
i will definitely post some info & expression of interest again by end next week & see what response i receive
stay tuned to this forum & my facebook next weekend for more info

Saginaw was available behind all HK-HK after Monaro release. Actually standard fitment to all HK-HG commercial from that time when 4spd selected, regardless of engine.

Re interest for a HK-G event... I'd get either the Brougham or Pano there (if it's finished.)
Don't care whose idea it was or is, I like the idea of chewing the cud with like-minded owners if similar marques.

Suttons Holden in Chullora (sydney) did a run of 6 x V8 vans in early '71.

all on th lot together. monaro colours,& side winder stripes with gts bonnet, but only std guards, hussler mags, 253 or 308, man & auto,10bolt LSD sals diff & tramprods, etc. maybe gts dash & possibly some were buckets & T bar with console??

coz they sold within cuppla weeks, they did another run of 186S ones after that!!!
does anyone have any info on these????

The only one ive documented so far is a 2/71 HG, yellow dolly, side winder stripes (on sides but not on bonnet), 253 3spd column manual with bench seat (obviously aimed at th tradies), 10 bolt, tramprods, & husslers.
imagine th ultimate being 308, sag 4spd, monaro buckets & console etc ??

Havnt worked out how to post pics on here yet,so look up my facebook (david smith) for sum interesting pics!!!!!!!!!!!

any info or others of this batch would be excellent, or any info or real pics of th 1970 HT Ute named "Be-Ute" finished in "Torrid Violet" duco & featuring many GTS Monaro components. (Built in GMH Styling Dept.)which is in "THE HISTORY OF HOLDEN SINCE 1917. BY NORM DARWIN"
will contact norm personally to find out if he has more info on this one..

Still here watching this space with avid interest. Be something to unearth one of these rare gems you talk about there Dave. AMC dug up a K code XY ute and panelvan a while ago and I remember thinking back to a Sebring orange 4 speed 350 HT ute that was T-Boned many years ago here in Wodonga. A bloke named "Raffy" had it and I believe it was sold off and repaired. Whereabouts now unknown???
